Booking Process
Please complete the booking form and forward to us with 30% of advance amount of your total package cost. You have to pay the stated percent of amount along with booking form prior to at least 60 days of your departure. On receipt of your booking form and advance, we will confirm your booking and send you an email with your booked details package and complete invoice. You must pay your invoice before 35 days of your Trip departure.
Payment Options
You can pay us thru cash transfer to our bank account which details will provide to you during booking.
ATMs are available in many places around Kathmandu valley. You will also easily get money exchange centers which will exchange your currency in Nepali currency – rupees. They also accept your credit cards.
Responsibility
Kailash Journeys works for the fulfillment of your every desire that you expect from our travel packages. With this motive we work with honest and due attention to our valued client. However, we shall not be responsible for any deviation or changes in your itineraries due to unavoidable circumstances like political unrest, strike, earth quakes, flight delays, landslides, sickness, accident etc. Any extra cost thereof shall bear by the client themselves.
Note: Flight cancellation is very likely while you travel to some remote parts of Nepal like Lukla, Jomsom, Jumla, Taplejung and Tumlingtar due to erratic weather conditions. The day is so windy that is why flights operate only in the morning in those destinations.
Accident or Loss
Kailash Journeys has no liability for the loss, damage, delay, inconvenience, or direct or consequential loss, however caused, unless due to our employees’ negligence, in which case our liability is limited (except for death or personal injury) to a maximum of the refund of the tour cost. We do not own or manage the vehicles, accommodation, and restaurants used and we have no liability for loss or damage caused by the proprietors or operators thereof.
Documents
All clients are personally responsible for holding valid passport, visas and other personal travelling documents. All the foreigners except Indian have to have valid passport and visa while entering Nepal. The visa can be obtained on arrival to Tribhuvan International Airport or the check points at border. See www.immi.gov.np for more information about Visa to Nepal.
Kailash Journeys shall not responsible if the clients do not hold valid passport and relevant visa.
Health and Safety
The client should acknowledge that Nepal is adventure destination where most of tourists come for adventure activities like trekking, climbing, rafting, canyoning, mountain biking etc. Kailash Journeys strongly advises to our clients to consult their doctors before they come to Nepal. However, our guides are trained with first aid training and they carry medical kit during the trekking for our client’s safety.
Alternation in Prices and Itineraries
Prices can go up or down. We will give you the prices accurate but sometimes some factors may influence the prices. In such conditions we reserve the right to increase the price of your accommodation after you have booked but no later than 30 days before the arrival date stipulated and will forward an Amendment Invoice reflecting any changes made. After a Confirmation Invoice has been sent to you, any increase to your accommodation price will be as the result of changes in our costs of supplying your accommodation resulting from currency fluctuations and government action. An administration charge and any relevant travel agent’s commission is included within these amounts.
Right to Cancel Booking by Kailash Journeys (P) Ltd.
We aim to provide your accommodation as booked. But if, for example, you do not pay the balance of the accommodation price on time, we may cancel it. We may cancel your booking if there is an event that is out of our control, such as war, threat of war, riots, civil disturbances, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, natural and nuclear disasters, fire, epidemics, health risks, hurricanes and other actual or potential severe weather conditions, and any other similar events.
Cancellation
You may cancel the travel program at any point of time against paying the cancellation charge. These charges are a percentage of the total cost of your booked accommodation.

We have also provision to transfer your trip to third party which takes no charges only if you do so before at least 10 days of your trip departure. The above cancellation policy applies to you no matter whatever in the situation you cancelled. But the above conditions do not apply if your trip cancelled by us due to our own problem.

Travel Insurance
Kailash Journeys strongly recommend to its client to get insurance in their home country before they book our travel packages. The insurance should covers cancellation, accidents, health, emergency evacuation, and loss of items, theft of or damage to baggage and personal life.
Extra Cost
The extra cost due to unavoidable circumstances or due to reason that is beyond our control shall not be liable to us.
Complaint
If you have a complaint about your accommodation whilst away, you must immediately notify the supplier of the service in question locally. If they are unable to resolve the problem immediately, and a member of our staff is not available, you should contact us straight away by telephone/e-mail and we will endeavor to assist. If you have any complaint regarding the services of our staff then contact us immediately.
Your Conduct towards staff and other guests
We reserve the right to refuse to accept you as a customer or continue dealing with you if your behavior is disruptive or affects other guests or is threatening or abusive towards our staff or agents, on the telephone, in writing or in person. In any of these circumstances you may be evicted from the accommodation and no refunds will be paid to you and we may make a claim against you for any costs and expenses incurred as a result of your behavior. Criminal proceedings may also be instigated. Reference to “you” or “your” includes for the purposes of this section the conduct also of any other person in your party.
Legal Jurisdiction
All terms and conditions are in accordance with the laws of Nepal and any dispute shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Kailash Mansarovar Yatra Terms & Conditions
Please READ carefully
In completing and submitting the Booking Form, you agree to be bound by these conditions which constitute the agreement between Kailash Journeys (P) Ltd. and you. These conditions apply to the exclusion of any other terms or conditions unless they are set out in the Booking Form or are otherwise agreed to in writing by the parties. Previous dealings between the parties will not vary these conditions. No claimed variation of these conditions will be effective unless in writing and signed by a person so authorized by Kailash Journeys (P) Ltd.
1. HOW TO BOOK
To reserve your place for the trips, please complete the Booking Form and send it with the non-refundable deposit of INR 15,000 per person for Indian nationality or USD 300 per person for other nationalities to our bank account.
2. PAYMENT
FULL PAYMENT must be received before thirty days of your departure date. Without full payment one cannot commence their trip. No Exception Accepted.
3. AMENDMENTS
If you wish to make amendments to your trip arrangements, you must notify Kailash Journeys (P) Ltd. in writing. Each amendment to your trip arrangements will incur an administration fee depending upon the situation. All administration fees must be paid before departure.
4. CANCELLATION POLICY
It is our most important aim that you enjoy your holiday and that we earn your trust. However, we are not responsible for any cancellation due to any industrial disputes, Technical failure of any type of transport we use, loss of earnings, late arrivals or force majeure, or any items beyond our control
After booking, if you wish to cancel your trip, you must notify Kailash Journeys (P) Ltd. in writing. Once Kailash Journeys (P) Ltd. receives your notice, cancellation will take effect subject to the following:
- If cancellation takes place in between 90 – 150 days prior to your departure date, your full payment will be refund except the non-refundable deposit:
- If cancellation takes place in between 30-90 days prior to departure 75% of your payment will be refund except the non-refundable deposit.
- If cancellation takes place less than 30 days prior to departure due to client’s personal problems, all previously paid amount(s) will be forfeited.
5. MEDICAL DISCLOSURE
You declare and warrant that:
- You are in good health and mental and physical fitness at the time of booking this trip.
- You have disclosed to Kailash Journeys (P) Ltd. every matter concerning your health and mental and physical fitness of which you are aware, or ought to reasonably be expected to know, that is relevant to Kailash Journeys (P) Ltd. decision to permit you to go on the trip
6. ROUTE CHANGES, POSTPONEMENT, CANCELLATION OR DELAY
Kailash Journeys (P) Ltd. reserves the right to:
- Change the date of departure or conclusion of the trip, or
- Modify any aspect of the trip, or
- Cancel or modify any routes within the trip or objectives set out in the itinerary, or
- Substitute different or equivalent routes within the trip in place of cancelled or modified routes, or
- Postpone, cancel or delay, any such aspect of the tour if, in the absolute discretion of Kailash Journeys (P) Ltd., it is necessary to do so due to inclement weather, snow or icy conditions or conditions that are otherwise likely to be hazardous or dangerous or due to any other adverse or threatening conditions whether political or military or terrorist or otherwise or if, in the absolute discretion of Kailash Journeys (P) Ltd., there is a likelihood of any such event occurring which may impact upon the safety of the participants, or if an act or omission of a third party prevents the tour or the aspect of the tour being undertaken in accordance with your booking. In the event of any change, modification, cancellation, postponement or delay under this condition, you acknowledges that you will have no right of refund of the tour price (whether in whole or in part) and no right to claim compensation for any injury, loss or damage or other additional expenses incurred by virtue of the change, modification, cancellation, postponement or delay. Kailash Journeys (P) Ltd. also reserves, in its absolute discretion, the right to cancel any tour due to any government travel warning or advice, or any change in such warning or advice.
- Make a final decision that is binding in case of any differences or disputes during the trip.
- Cancel a trip if a participant does not comply with all the formalities required by Nepalese and Chinese authorities’ en-route. Any participants carrying unlawful drugs, political propaganda, firearms or pamphlets will immediately be excluded from the tour without any refund.
7. INSURANCE
Personal travel insurance is not included in the trip price. It is a condition of booking a trip with Kailash Journeys (P) Ltd., and your responsibility to ensure that you are adequately insured for the full duration of the trip in respect of illness, injury, death, loss of baggage and personal items and cancellation and curtailment.
8. AIRLINE
Any material published by Kailash Journeys (P) Ltd., the Booking Form and these conditions of contract are not issued on behalf of, and do not commit any airline whose services are used or proposed to be used in the course of the trip. In the event that an airline’s proposed travel or fare schedule is amended or cancelled, such amendment or cancellation will not be considered a cancellation of the trip by Kailash Journeys (P) Ltd.
9. TRIP PRICES
The prices are based on ground costs, fuel prices, airfares, exchange rates and assumptions made at the printing of the brochure. Kailash Journeys (P) Ltd. tries its utmost not to increase trip prices (in full or part), however sometimes increases are outside its control. Kailash Journeys (P) Ltd. reserves the right to amend trip prices (or any part) without notice at any time before and including the departure date. Amendments may be necessitated for many reasons including, but not limited to, exchange rate fluctuations, increased fuel costs, airfares, airport charges, increases in ground operator service fees, or the need to engage alternative air or ground operators. Any increase in trip prices must be paid prior to the departure date.
NOTE: $1 = INR 63 – Payment are made in USD at Tibet / Bhutan , therefore, dollar rate will be applicable at the time of final payment.
10. ASSUMPTION OF RISK
You accept and agree to assume all risk associated with the journeys and further agree to abide by the terms and conditions of Kailash Journeys (P) Ltd. as described herein and its brochures and publications. In the event of illness, accident, weather, political and other factors beyond their control, I will not hold Kailash Journeys (P) Ltd. and its agents, associates or employees responsible or liable for damages. I understand I am traveling at my own risk.
11. RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY
In consideration of Kailash Journeys (P) Ltd. accepting your booking application and in consideration of you being permitted by Kailash Journeys (P) Ltd. to join the tour:
- You release Kailash Journeys (P) Ltd. and its officers, employees, agents, licensees, guides and other representatives and the land management authorities in the countries in which the trip is conducted (each of whom are collectively referred to as ”Kailash Journeys (P) Ltd. and its employees”) from all cost, liability, loss or damage incurred or suffered by you directly or indirectly during the course of the trip and resulting from your personal injury, illness or death or damage to or loss of your property unless caused by the willful negligence or wrongful act of Kailash Journeys (P) Ltd. and its employees; and
- You waive any claims you have, or may at any time have, against Kailash Journeys (P) Ltd. and its employees and you agree, by accepting the additional inherent dangers and risks associated with the trip, not to make any claim against or seek any compensation from Kailash Journeys (P) Ltd. and its employees in respect of any personal injury, illness or death suffered by you or damage to or loss of property sustained by you as a result of your participation in the trip. You understand that you are traveling at your own risk.
- You further understand and accept that due to the nature of travel in mountains and also due to certain tours and conditions imposed upon Kailash Journeys (P) Ltd. by the principals i.e., the Chinese travel authorities, you will not be eligible for any refund of the cost for whatsoever reason when the trip is actually launched, and if you make a cancellation after completing booking formalities you lose the amount mentioned in the cancellation policy.
Note: Above terms and conditions are also based on Indian Pilgrims Service China (IPSC) and subject to change as the rules of CIPSC and Chinese Government.
All terms and conditions are in accordance with the laws of Nepal and any dispute shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Kathmandu, Nepal.
