Kailash Mansarovar Yatra via Lhasa Route: Kathmandu – Lhasa – Mt. Kailash – Kathmandu
Note: Foreign Passport Holders need to arrive to Kathmandu 03 Working days before the fixed dates (Day 01 in the itinerary) for the Chinese Visa (Saturday and Sunday is not considered as working days). For Indian Passport, we will need their passport 07 working days before the trip in Delhi office. Please make sure that the Indian Passport Holder’s have Voters Card with them.
Day 01 (DATE): Kathmandu Arrival

10:00AM – Full day sightseeing of Pashupatinath, Boudhanath Temple and Budhanilkantha.

11:40 AM (Approx) – Fly to Goggar airport Lhasa and transfer to hotel.

08:00 AM – Drive towards Mansarovar Lake crossing beautiful places and stay at the shore of the Lake. Fill spiritual water.Parikrama of Mansarovar Lake by vehicle (2 hrs-90 km)
Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner l Hotel: Mudhouse or similarDay 08: In Manasarovar Lake. Later drive to Darchen.
Most of the day – Take holy bath and perform Puja (prayer ritual) at Mansarovar Lake. Later Drive to Darchen (35 km).
Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner l Hotel: Dormitory Guest House or similarDay 09: First Day of Outer Kora – Trek to Dirapuk
10:00AM – After short drive, we will reach Tarboche and visit Yama Dwar. This is starting point for Kora. We will trek to Dirapuk (4860 m) which is 12 kms trek (5-6 hrs). You will visit North face of Mt. Kailash and touching the feet of Mt. Kailash (Charan Sparsh). Travelers who do not want to trek around (Parikrama) Kailash can go back to Darchen and wait for rest of the group to arrive from Parikrama.
Meal: Breakfast at Mansarovar, Lunch & Dinner at Mansarovar OR on the way during Parikrama
Hotel: Mud house on the way during Parikrama or Stay in Dormitory Guest House at DarchenDay 10: Second Day of Outer Kora – On to Zuthulphuk with Trek to Dolma La Pass
07:00AM – Trek from Dirapuk to Dolma La Pass and proceed to Zuthulpuk (22 km trek for 7-8 hours trek). This is the most difficult journey throughout the yatra since you have to trek up to the 18,600 ft. From descend to Gaurikund and further trek along with the river to Zuthul-puk.

NOTE: If you are not doing Parikrama, then you will still be waiting at DarchenDay 11: Drive to Saga
08:00AM – After short Trek and reach to the point where the coach will be waiting and we will drive to Darchen and merge with other members who were waiting and drive to Saga.

Kailash Journey Pvt. Ltd (KMY) is a caring organization. It all started with us booking the trip for a private group of 8 from USA. Birag and Kalyan were amazing with the initial coordination, they patiently answered all our question, provided us with the required information. They got us ready for the trip by helping us process our China visa and Tibet permit.
Once we landed in Tibet, we were greeted by Tyang and Laxman. We had some initial issues with our vehicle with AC not working, but Birag helped us resolved the issue on timely manner. KMY ensured they booked all the 5/4-star accommodation (wherever possible) that were recommended by us. Tyang/Laxman ensure they took us to good Indian restaurant for Lunches and Dinners. Once we reach Saga, we were joined with 2 more cooks. They took care of breakfast, lunch and dinner during our stay in Saga, Darchen, Mansarovor and during Parikrama. The food was really tasty and had a personal touch. 5-stars to the support staff. We had really good support during Parikrama, where all of us walked during day1. I personally feel, renting a horse could also be an option, if you are not used to walking long distance or physically active in your day to day routine life.
I would also like to mention our Driver Dorjila, who had a pleasant personality always smiling drove us smoothly and ensure we had really safe and joyful journey.
Overall, we had a great time. We would recommend KMY as your touring company.
