The Annapurna Base Camp Trek, also known as ABC Trek, is a popular trekking route in Nepal that offers stunning mountain views, diverse landscapes, and cultural experiences. Annapurna Base Camp Trek Itinerary & Inclusions

Kathmandu Arrival – 1300m

  • Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport at Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel by our representative.

Kathmandu Sightseeing

  • After breakfast, full day sightseeing at UNESCO Heritage Sites. Sightseeing at Pasupatinath Temple, Swayambhu, Kathmandu Durbar Square and Bouddha Stupa

Kathmandu- Pokhara – 6 hours drive

  • Early in the morning after breakfast drive to Pokhara – 200 km from Kathmandu- 6 hours by bus. Lunch en route. Pokhara is one of the most visited cities after Kathmandu because of its scenic beauty.

Pokhara – Hiley – 4 hours drive

  • Drive to Nayapool for 2 hours and walk around 2 hours through Birethanti and Ramghat to reach Hiley. From Birethanti you have to walk on the bank of river. There are many shops available on the way to buy snacks and tea. Hiley is situated at 1200m.

Hiley – Ghorepani – 6 hours trekking

  • Today’s journey begins after breakfast as usual. The journey from Hiley to Tikledhunga is easy. The route from Tikledhunga to Ulleri is steep up so it is quite difficult. Today you will have a lunch at Nongyathali. Then you will have an easy journey. Ghorepani and Deurali Ghorepani are quite different. Deurali Ghorepani is more beautiful than Ghorepani, so you can stay either at Ghorepani or Deurali Ghorepani today.

Ghorepani – Poonhill – Tadapani – 6 hours walk

  • Ghorepani is at 2800m height. Today early in the morning we go to Poonhill for sunrise which takes 45 minutes. The way from Ghorepani – Poonhill is steep up. If the weather is good you can see a spectacular sunrise from Poonhill. Poonhill is at 3210m height. Then we return to Ghorepani and have breakfast. Then by taking right turn we go to Deurali and to Tadapani. From Ghorepani to Deurali there is steep up route and straight up trail so the journey will be quite difficult. But from Deurali to Bahnthali there is a straight jungle route so the journey will be quite easy. We can also see monkeys and Langur sometimes. We will reach to Tadapani. Tadapani is at 2570m height.

Tadapani – Chhomorong – 4 hours walk

  • You can also see beautiful sunrise from Tadapani. From Tadapani you will go to Chhomorong through Chaile, Gunjung. From Tadapani to Kimsung Khola , you have to walk down the Kimsung River , then the route is steep up to Gunjung school then you reach Gunjung village. From Gunjung you have to walk straight up route and you will reach Chomoorong. Today’s lunch is at Gunjung. Chhomorong is at 1900m height.

Chomorong – Dovan – 5 hours walk

  • We reach Dovan from Chomorong through Sinuwa and bamboo. From Chomorong we have to go steep down the Chomorong River then the route is steep up till Sinuwa. Then by crossing the straight jungle walk we reach to Bamboo. Then we have lunch at Bamboo and then again start the journey of jungle walk and finally arrive Dovan. Dovan is at 2580m height.

Dovan – Deurali – 4 hours walk

  • We have a silence jungle walk from Dovan to Himalaya because there is a temple in between the Jungle so it is believed that disturbance and big noise is not allowed at the jungle. You can also see many water falls during the journey from Dovan to himalaya. From Himalaya you have to walk steep up then you will reach Hinku- Lake. Deurali seems to be near the Dovan, it takes 40 minutes walk from Hinku- cave to Dovan. Deurali is at 3250m height.

Deurali – Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) – 5 hours walk

  • From Deurali we have to walk straight up then reach to Machapuchre Base Camp (MBC). From MBC, we trek straight up trail which lead to ABC. During the trek from Himalaya to ABC there might be some Avalanches, so you must be aware of that while walking. As much as we go upward from MBC we can see more mountains. From ABC you can see many mountains like Annapurna 1, Annapurna south, 12 peaks, Tent Peak, Singuchuli, Gandarvachuli, Macchhapuchhre etc. you can also see Glacier near ABC. ABC is at 4120m altitude.

BC – Dovan – 6 hours walk

  • We can see a spectacular sunrise from ABC. After breakfast, we reach Dovan through MBC- Deurali & Hinalaya. If we reach Dovan earlier then we can go to Bamboo for sightseeing.

Dovan – Jinuwa – 6 hours walk

  • Today’s journey from Dovan to Bamboo is jungle walk. From Dovan, we go to Jinuwa by crossing Bamboo, Sinuwa and Chomorong. After walking 45 minutes steep down from Chomorong then we reach Jinuwa Guest House. Then you can take Hot Spring bath at Jinuwa. You have to walk 30mins steep up to reach Hot spring bath from the guest house from Jinuwa. Jinuwa is situated at 1650m height.

Jinuwa – Pothana – 6 hours walk

  • From Jinuwa, we reach to Pothana through New Bridge, Himal Pani, Landruk, Tolka and Deurali. From Jinuwa to New Bridge and Himalpani we walk straight down. Then it is a straight up route from Himalpani to Landruk and Tolka. After having lunch at Tolka we have to walk straight down till Bhedikharka. By walking steep- up from Bhedikharka we reach Deurali. Then by walking straight from Deurali we reach Pothana. Pothana is situated at 1900m altitude. We see various beautiful mountains from Pothana.

Pothana – Pokhara – 4 hours walk

  • By walking straight down from Pothana, we reach to Dhampus. Then we have to walk down from Dhampus to reach Phedi from where we take 30 minutes drive to Pokhara.

Pokhara to Kathmandu

  • You can go to Kathmandu from Pokhara either by bus / car or flight
