 Verified An Outstanding Kailash Yatra Experience – Highly Recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently completed my Mount Kailash Yatra with Kailash Journeys Pvt Ltd, and my overall experience was truly exceptional—far better than I had imagined. From the initial planning stages through to the completion of the Kailash Parikrama, the entire journey was managed professionally, efficiently, and with genuine care. Even before the trip, the team was excellent with communication. Every question was answered promptly, clearly, and honestly. The information provided beforehand was accurate, and throughout the journey, almost everything was delivered exactly as promised in their itinerary and catalogue. Our stay at Hotel Tibet in Kathmandu was excellent. The hotel was extremely clean and comfortable, the food was of very good quality, and breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all provided as promised. The Kathmandu sightseeing and temple visits were also very well organised. In particular, the Rudra Abhishek prayers at Pashupatinath Temple were a wonderful and memorable experience. From Kathmandu onwards towards Mount Kailash, the arrangements continued to be impressive. We travelled in very comfortable buses, and at each destination the team arranged the best accommodation that was reasonably available in those remote locations. A special mention must go to the kitchen team. Throughout the journey, they provided three freshly prepared meals every day. The food was hot, tasty, wholesome Indian vegetarian food—something we greatly appreciated, especially considering the challenging locations and conditions in which they were working. The ground staff were equally impressive. Our luggage was handled extremely well throughout the trip, with everything transported safely and delivered to our hotel rooms. Nothing went missing, and the team worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make the journey as comfortable as possible for us. The guides in China, particularly Diki, were extremely efficient. They managed permits, immigration formalities, local coordination, porters, and all the other logistical requirements very smoothly. We were also given timely and clear guidance before every important stage of the journey, which was particularly valuable during the three critical days of the Kailash Parikrama. A very special shout-out and heartfelt thanks to Sujan, Parbatsingh, and Diki for all their help, encouragement, guidance, and support throughout the journey. Completing the Kailash Parikrama is physically and mentally demanding, and I genuinely feel that I would not have been able to complete it without the support of the entire Kailash Journeys team. Their organisation, experience, patience, and constant assistance made an enormous difference. My experience was far more amazing than I had visualised before starting the journey. I returned with wonderful memories and immense gratitude to everyone who helped make this pilgrimage possible. If I ever undertake the Kailash Yatra again, I would 100% choose Kailash Journeys Pvt Ltd without any doubt or hesitation. Highly recommended to anyone considering the Mount Kailash Yatra.  Verified Kailash Yatra July 2026 I had an amazing time with the group tour to Mt Kailash and lake Mansorova! The tour operators were on the ball from the time of my first enquiry assisting me with necessary visas needed as well as extra days at the hotel! The actual tour was 17 days and everything was something different! The bus ride through Nepal and into Tibet was a great experience since the route was to the lush forests and majority of the way was on gravel roads except in Tibet ! The surroundings during the travel was tranquil and the flowing rivers and waterfalls were something else . The costs were within reason and all other expenses were affordable. Gaining entry at the border gates in China was a breeze since the guides from China and Nepal were well prepared and fully acquainted with the rules etc . The guides were professional and coped well with the large group . The Kailash Yatra is best suited for people of average fitness, strong religious believes and who are opened minded. Me being a solo traveller fitted in well with the other travellers and into doing have made friends for a life time with people from different countries. Thanks to Kailash Journeys for making this and excellent trip and I most certainly will contact them again should I need to visit Nepal again !  Verified Kailash Journeys helped me with my Yatra of a lifetime! I consider myself fortunate to have come across their website while searching for an operator, as it was purely by chance among the myriad options available, especially given their negligible presence on social media. I was pleasantly surprised to learn from fellow yatris of other operators that even after the AKTON price hike, Kailash Journeys continued to offer one of the most affordable Kailash packages for Indian citizens. And it was not as though they were cutting corners. They arranged the best possible accommodations wherever available, and had a dedicated team of cooks who provided us with fresh, clean, and nutritious vegetarian meals every day, even in the harsh climate of Tibet. Whether it was accommodation or diet, Kailash Journeys took care of every aspect of the yatra. Kailash Journeys has been operating Kailash tours for over 30 years, and their team members truly embody the reason for this continued success through their work. Even before the yatra began, Rinkesh ji was always available to address my queries over the phone, while Kalyan ji consistently gave timely responses to my emails and even helped me with Chinese currency, which proved vital when arranging a rescue vehicle for my mother. Once the yatra began, there was Ramesh bhai, whose remarkable patience stood out as he handled yatris from all walks of life. He was instrumental in arranging comfortable accommodation for everyone in the group as we reached the remote locations of Tibet. Parbat ji and his team of sherpas formed the backbone for most yatris, carrying duffle bags from one place to another and even up to their room doors. Some sherpas joined as personal porters during the parikrama, including Parbat ji himself. Then there was our tour lead, Raj Kumar Adhikari ji. God knows what magic he worked with the Tibet authorities, for they allowed our group to complete the full parikrama when we were not even sure of receiving a permit for a single day. This was no easy task, for we had seen groups from many other operators who were travelling on the same schedule as us until Darchen, yet during the three‑day parikrama we came across only a handful of them. That highlighted the effort and determination shown by Adhikari ji. To say that these men were pivotal in the successful completion of our yatra would be an understatement. Kailash Journeys’ tour management also deserves recognition. Anticipating a huge crowd at the border, they modified the itinerary and shifted the Kathmandu sightseeing to the last, giving us a head start at immigration. When the group was stopped at Kerung for an extra day, they chose to skip the halt there on our return to keep the schedule intact. This buffer later proved invaluable when we were held up in Darchen without a permit for the parikrama. The delay also meant the buffer day was used to visit Ashtapad in Darchen, leaving no time for Kathmandu sightseeing, since the tour was set to end on the morning of June 12. By divine luck, my direct flight from Kathmandu to Bangalore was on Saturday, June 13, which allowed me to spend the 12th exploring Kathmandu. We thought we might have to pay for the extra night’s accommodation, but since the tour itself had been delayed by a day, Kalyan ji graciously extended our stay in Kathmandu at no extra cost. It is because of these small gestures of care that, if given a choice, I would once again, without hesitation, pick Kailash Journeys as my tour operator for this sacred Yatra.  Verified The majestic Kailash and finding Shiva The best arrangements with professional team of Kailash Journey and best rates I completed Kailash Mansarovar Yatra in 17th June batch with my friend Amit Testimonials 1. Booking - The team of Shivendra and Rinkesh handled all the queries. They never focused on getting payment but serving first with all ease in necessary chinese group visa application 2. Logistics - on airport arrival and departure support from Kalyan at Kathmandu was best. The company's vehicles were SUVs . Chinese side buses were good Suggestion - The nepal buses need to be spacious. Those were congested 3. Guide and porter- Our guide Khularam was fantastic with our loved Aila in aid. They were ever ready to help us and no issues at all . Our chinese guide Tashi was also wonderful and proactive in getting parikrama permits in advance. 4. Hotels - All best. We were in Hotel Tibet in Kathmandu near Thamel and Radisson and hotels at Keyrung, Saga, Darchen were all good. The hotel on Timure border had best river valley view and homestay near Manas Sarovar had best basic facilities. Even at Derapuk dormitory stays and at Zutulpuk the only big hotels were of gold standards when we see the lack of hotels there 5. Food- Amazing cook, good healthy food throughout. They were giving us variety every day and as published on web site Thanks the entire team for making my Yatra special. Loved it. I definitely recommend to every one to go with Kailash Journey Suggestion - please keep the additional acclamatization day at Saga with short trek nearby. It helped us all. The accommodation provided at Kathmandu & Nepalgunj was good and the representatives of Kailash Journeys at each transit point in Nepal ensured smooth transition to our next destinations. Once we reached Tibet, the sherpas team lead by Mr.Rajkumar and Mr.Lama Babu took complete care of us. Personalized attention was provided to everyone. Without the guidance and help of the hardworking Sherpa team, it would have been difficult for me to complete the 3 day parikrama. We never thought Nepal could offer so much…..flying over the Himalayas in close range….. watching the beautiful sun-rises/sun-sets with the snow-clad mountains as the “on-looking heavens”…. paragliding……. rafting in the swift flowing rivers…… journey into the glimpses of Nepal history/culture……….. an adventure with wildlife (forests, rivers and wildlife). The road journeys between the touring towns themselves are so enjoyable and memorable. Cable car trip to Mankamana Temple is beyond expectation. The local people are so gentle, nice and sweet. Their hospitality is admirable. The tour package and arrangements of Kailash Journeys (P) Ltd are very good. Completely satisfied. July 10, 2014 · I recently completed the Kailash Kora (June 16 to June 26 -2014) with a group of about 50 Indian Passport holders. We were the lucky 50 amongst a whole lot of rejected visas during that period of uncertainity and autocratic behaviour of Tibetan authorities. Kailash Journeys fought their way and got us the permission. Indian passport holders in my group ranged upto 72 years in age in my group and almost everyone completed the Kora! 5 star · Dec 8, 2015 · I was in the last batch of the 2015 tour organised by Kailash Journeys (P) Ltd. Our departure date was September 14th. The big problem many of us faced was the uncertainty of the Tibet permit. Time was flying, the date for departure was nearing and there was no news of the permit. I waited with bated breath to book the tickets from Chennai to Kathmandu via Delhi. At last the news of the permit was conveyed to us on September 12th, 2 days before my departure. Now, the certainty of my long awaited journey was before me. The mad frenzy of going to the bank a few times to pay the cash in installments, getting my travel insurance in that short time, making sure I had taken layers of woolen clothes, ticking off the list of medicines and other arrangements for the house, the flight tickets everything had to be taken care off. The head was reeling with do’s and don’ts. As I was travelling alone I was assured that I will have no problem and that I will be taken care off. My husband volunteered to stay back home to take care of the two super senior citizens staying with us. Once I landed in Kathmandu, I was rest assured. I got to meet all my fellow travellers . All of us had the ardent desire to complete this Holiest of Holy yatra successfully. Kailash Journeys did a great job of making us very comfortable. The sherpas were excellent. I would like to mention sherpa Neema and his team, they made sure we did not lift our heavy baggage and other essentials. they took charge of all our needs. Hot tea was served in our rooms and the food was freshly prepared and tasty and served with love and affection. We were a group of 11 people , hence another group was merged with ours. Now we were 24 . From this group only 4 of us were very keen to trek to Dirapuk and have darshan of the North facing Mount Kailash. The day we were about to start the trek from Yamdwar sherpa Neema got a message saying that a group of 10 people from the previous batch have been stranded in Dirapuk due to snow fall. We, the 4 super energetic and eager pilgrims were disappointed and very sad that we are being discouraged to go to Dirapuk. With a very heavy heart we drove back with the group to our camp at Mansarovar and proceeded to reach Kathmandu two days ahead of schedule. I have a suggestion here. Instead of charging Rs.30,000 for the pony ride for all the three days of parikrama of Mount Kailash, they can have an option of the pony ride till Dirapuk and back and charge accordingly. This will be a great success because many people will opt to go and have darshan of the North facing Mount and return instead of doing the complete parikrama. Please give a thought to this idea and do keep me informed about the changes you make. God willing, I would love to have a darshan of the North facing Kailash and get an opportunity to do ” Charan Sparsh” We reached Kathmandu 2 days earlier. I would like to mention here that the staff of Kailash Journeys helped us to advance our air tickets and made sure we reached our destination safely. On the whole this whole yatra was a dream come true. The first glimpse of the Mighty Mount Kailash and the parikrama around the Mansarovar lake and the beautiful view of the Mount from our camp at Mansarovar are all so fresh and vivid in my memory that I will cherish this entire yatra life long. A very BIG Thank You to Kailash Journeys for making this trip so beautiful and so very memorable.
